Hello. I'd consider myself more fashionable than most men of my age group in Ohio. Does anyone else keep up with current fashion? Not trends, either. Actual fashion? While I have my own classic style, I still pay close attention to the new suit and casual lines as the come out. Is anyone else a fan of looking good? Not that I need anything else to make me look good, but nothing feels better than a tailored suit of the current fashion. Right now, English cut suits are slamming fall lines everywhere. I prefer American cut suitable myself, but DKNY and Ralph Lauren are both putting out nice English cuts right now.

As a college student, I don't need to wear suits and I can't afford them, so my input isn't exactly valid. However, when I do wear suits, I prefer a short-cut double breasted coat. I really dislike suitcoats that go more than four inches below the waist.
Also, bowties for the win.

A suit top should never go lower than one inch of where your butt crack starts. Double breasted tops have been out for a while, but some dudes can still pull off the look. The last couple years, European cuts have been the in thing. I'm glad that is over, as I hate not having pockets in my suits, lol.

"Fashion" isn't an objective thing so you can't exactly discount trends. Trends define what is considered fashion, regardless of what we individually like or dislike.
That being said, I hate wearing suits.

I don't know squat about fashion, and never really cared. I was heavily involved in the St. Pete Punk Scene in Florida in my Teen years. I still to this day wear music and novelty t-shirts 7 days a week that are often torn or over 10 years old. While its not as narrow as "Punk only" anymore, its still the same style. As a matter of fact I'm wearing a John Lennon T-Shirt I got almost exactly 10 years ago, which has a 2 inch hole below the collar on the back, from pulling it over my head a couple months ago, and realizing just HOW old it is. My "Hard Rock Cafe Makati, Philippines" and "Sex Pistols No Future" shirts are the oldest and most tattered at 14 years. I had to put down my Operation Ivy T-shirt a few years back, due to severe decay as a result of a "How long can I wear the same out fit" experiment in the 9th grade. It's art is now a back patch that never quite made it to the back of anything.

My inner attorney does love a crisp shirt and pressed tie, but my everyday attire is generally a black T-shirt bearing some nerdy reference or band logo and a pair of blue jeans. I left shorts behind a long time ago and haven't looked back unless I'm working out or going swimming. I just feel like a man ought to wear real pants.

I started wearing shorts again. about a year or two ago. Just something about working with protective gloves and sleeves(while supervisors are around anyway) in 90+ degree heat with 70%+ humidity around 400 degree hot glue makes you wanna do whatever you can to keep cool. For me, that just carries over outside of work.

I must say I do have a special love for shorts. Living as far south as I do 3/4ths of the year it is hotter than the inside of Satan's asshole.

I think the only time I have ever owned shorts was back when I wore them for tennis.
